High Commissioner:Here in Mozambique, there are huge trades opportunities Malawians are not making use of

Malawi High Commissioner in Mozambique His Excellency Frank Viyazhi says Malawian investors are losing out as they are not making use of the trade investment opportunities available in the Portuguese speaking country.
Viyazhi made the opportunity known to Malawians in an interview Monday at his official office in Tete, Mozambique.

He said Mozambique has business opportunities in different aspects which Malawians can make use of.

“Here in Mozambique, there are huge trades opportunities Malawians are not making use of. Malawi can develop if these opportunities can be seriously taken advantage of,” said Viyazhi.

He said the only thing the Malawians are supposed to do is to know the Mozambican special economic zones for them to effectively make investment choices.

Viyazhi said one area of investment through which Malawi can eye on is food through efficient agriculture.

“Here in Mozambique, people have a culture to food however they still have a long way to go in terms of production. For instance, there are a lot of food stuffs that go to province Zambezi which is not enough.

“So Malawians can grab the opportunity and start investing in Mozambique for their benefit. There is business stability in the country,” assured Viyazhi.

Viyazhi said President Chakwera's visit to Mozambique is historical and that the Malawian community in Tete appreciate and celebrate accordingly.

It will be first time for the Malawian head of state to visit Tete.

“The coming of the state president here will help to bridge the relationship between the Malawians living here and the Mozambicans,” said High Commissioner.
