President Salva Kiir symbolically rang the bell at Juba Day Secondary School to signal the start of the 2020 Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations

Monday 22nd March 2021, H.E. President Salva Kiir Mayardit symbolically rang the bell at Juba Day Secondary School to signal the start of the 2020 Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations and to also wish the candidates who are sitting for the examination the very best of Luck.
Addressing the candidates before the start of their examination, H.E. President Salva Kiir urged all South Sudanese to recognize the efforts of the teachers, officials in the Ministry of Education and their Minister Hon. Awut Deng Acuil for having worked collectively and tirelessly with all stakeholders to ensure that the progress on education ladder is not obstructed by the challenges facing the Country.

H.E. President Salva Kiir Mayardit praised the parents for nurturing their children for this important milestone along their educational journey and encouraged them to continue giving their children unconditional love and support them in their preparation to be the leaders of tomorrow.

There are 34,536 candidates sitting for this 2020 Certificate of Secondary Education Examination, out of this number there are 11,716 females and 22,820 males which represent an increase of 20.4% from 2019.
