Sajid Javid’s press conference on Wednesday continues to dominate the front pages, with The Independent leading on his warning that restrictions could return in the run-up to Christmas, as infections hit almost 50,000.
The Metro leads also on comments from the health secretary, who is asking people to get a coronavirus booster jab and a flu jab.
Sajid Javid said on 20 October that England is facing its last chance to avoid a return to COVID-19 restrictions, which feature on the front page of the Financial Times.
