DAR-The Open University of Tanzania (OUT) has introduced 8 new academic programmes designed to meet market needs and expand access to quality education.
Announced under the theme “Affordable & Quality Education for All”, the new courses cut across 3 faculties: Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Business Management, and Faculty of Science, Technology and Environmental Studies.
New programmes include:
1. BSc in Food Processing Technologies
2.Bachelor of Agricultural Sciences
3. BSc in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics
4.BSc in Accounting and Finance
5. Bachelor of Travel and Tour Operations Management
6.Bachelor of Hospitality and Events Management
7.BA in History and Cultural Heritage Management
8.Bachelor of Geography and Environmental Management
OUT says the programmes are “tailored for impact” and aim to unlock more pathways for students to grow in line with Tanzania’s development and employment demands.
