DAR-Fuel prices for petrol, diesel, and kerosene for the month of October 2025 have continued to drop, with retail prices for petrol decreasing by TZS 55 and diesel by TZS 50. This marks a continued trend of falling prices for these products.
According to a statement from the Director General of the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA), Dr. James Mwainyekule, the decrease in prices is due to a 5.10% average drop in foreign exchange conversion costs, along with a 1.95% average decrease in the cost of importing petroleum products through the Port of Dar es Salaam.
According to the statement, the price of fuel received at the Port of Dar es Salaam has dropped from TZS 2,807 to TZS 2,752 for petrol, and from TZS 2,754 to TZS 2,704 for diesel, while the price of kerosene has remained unchanged at TZS 2,774, the same as in September 2025.
