PRESIDENT Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan today held talks with Dangote Group Chairman and Chief Executive, Alhaj Aliko Dangote, GCON at State House in Dar es Salaam.
Mr. Dangote, one of Africa's leading industrialists and investors, said the group is exploring opportunities to expand its investment footprint in Tanzania across strategic sectors.
The talks covered transport infrastructure, domestic fertilizer production and broader energy opportunities, including those supporting regional economic integration.
Tanzania, Mr. Dangote said, offers a competitive investment environment and significant scope for industries that process local resources for domestic and regional markets.
"We have identified areas that can deliver significant value for Tanzania, and we are ready to work together to develop them for mutual benefit,"he said.
President Samia directed government ministries and agencies to continue technical discussions on the areas identified, in line with Tanzania's policy, legal and development priorities.
She said private-sector partnerships remain central to Tanzania's efforts to mobilise productive investment, deepen industrialisation, support technology transfer and create jobs.
