The Office of the Treasury Registrar has announced that preparations are underway for the 2026 Dividend Day, a key national event that highlights the performance and returns from government investments in public institutions and companies.
According to the statement issued in Dar es Salaam, said the event reflects the government’s continued commitment to transparency, accountability, and the effective management of public assets for the benefit of all Tanzanians.The 2026 Dividend Day will be held on June 30, 2026, at State House in Dar es Salaam. The event will be graced by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, as the Guest of Honour.
During the event, public institutions and companies in which the government holds shares will present dividends and other financial contributions to the government.
These funds represent returns from public investments and are later used to support national development priorities, including education, health services, energy projects, and infrastructure development.
