OUT appoints 7 new Directors for Regional Centres

THE Open University of Tanzania - OUT has announced the appointment of seven new Directors for its Regional and Coordination Centres following the 128th meeting of the University Council held on 25th June 2026.
According to a public announcement issued by the Communications and Marketing Unit, the appointments are aimed at strengthening the administration and delivery of services at OUT’s centres across the country.

Six of the appointees have been named for their first term, while one has been re-appointed for a second term.

The new Directors for their first term are:

1.Mr. Mustapha Abbas Kiswanya-Director, Iringa Regional Centre. He is an Assistant Lecturer in the Faculty of Science, Technology and Environmental Studies.

2.Mr. Frank Amon Charles-Director, Kagera Regional Centre. He is an Assistant Lecturer in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

3.Dr. Mosi Masatu Mlibwa-Director, Coast Regional Centre. He is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

4.Mr. Michael Peter Kajala-Director, Mtwara Regional Centre. He is an Assistant Lecturer in the Faculty of Science, Technology and Environmental Studies.

5.Mr. Yotham Msemwa-Director, Tanga Regional Centre. He is an Assistant Lecturer in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

6. Mr. Isaya Jordan Mahulu- Director, Kahama Coordination Centre. He is an Assistant Lecturer in the Faculty of Science, Technology and Environmental Studies.

Ms. Caroline Nimehi Mugolozi has been re-appointed for a second term as Director of Tabora Regional Centre. She is an Assistant Lecturer in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

OUT stated that the appointments form part of its ongoing efforts to ensure the provision of “Affordable & Quality Education for All” in Tanzania.
