The Bank of Tanzania (BoT) has released the Government Securities Issuance Calendar for the Second Quarter of the Financial Year 2026/27.
In a Public Notice dated 15th September 2026, BoT said on behalf of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, it will issue Treasury Bills with maturities of 35, 91, 182 and 364 days, and Treasury Bonds with maturities of 2, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years.
The Bank said the coupon rate for Treasury Bonds and other relevant information will be in the Call for Tender / Auction Prospectus, and that Government securities auctions will be conducted in the order listed, unless otherwise specified.
According to the calendar:
October 2026:
- 07 Oct: New Treasury Bills auction
- 14 Oct: New 25-Year Bond
- 21 Oct: New Treasury Bills auction
- 28 Oct: Re-opening of 20-Year Bond
November 2026:
- 04 Nov: Re-opening of 2-Year Bond
- 11 Nov: New 10-Year Bond
- 18 Nov: New Treasury Bills auction
- 25 Nov: Re-opening of 15-Year Bond
December 2026:
- 02 Dec: New Treasury Bills auction
- 10 Dec: New 5-Year Bond
- 16 Dec: New Treasury Bills auction
The Government reserves the right to amend the issuance calendar in line with borrowing requirements and market conditions.
