Neither team was able to break the deadlock in 90 minutes at Doha's Stadium 974. Poland were awarded a penalty after Robert Lewandowski was brought down by defender Hector Moreno in the 56th minute.

But after two minutes Lewandowski's penalty kick was saved by goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.

In another Group C match, Argentina suffered a 2-1 shocking defeat against Saudi Arabia at Lusail Stadium. (Agencies)
