THE Saint Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT) has appointed Sr. Prof. Clara Rupia as Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, effective August 2026.
The appointment was made by Rt. Rev. Wolfgang Pisa, OFMCap, President of the Tanzania Episcopal Conference and Chancellor of SAUT, in line with the University Charter and the Universities Act.
Sr. Prof. Rupia, an Associate Professor with over 15 years in teaching, research and academic leadership, holds a PhD in Education Management from Moi University.
She previously served as Deputy Principal Academic Affairs at CARUMCo and Dean of Education. She has also published four books and numerous peer-reviewed articles.
SAUT has congratulated Sr. Prof. Clara and called on the university community and the public to support her in the new role.
