NATIONAL Youth Day 2022- How Digdarshan Organization awares public regarding the spread of Covid-19 through Mask Campaign.

“What we want is muscles of iron and nerves of steel. We have wept long enough. No more weeping, but stand on your feet and be men. It is man making theories that we want. It is man making education all around that we want,"said Swami Vivekananda.
12th January, the birthday of Vivekananda is celebrated as “National Youth Day” in India. This motivates the youths to follow his footstep that will lead to the prosperity of the nation.

Swami dedicated his life to teaching and guiding the youth the importance of social service and laying the ground work of character and leader attributes. He is the consistent inspiration of youth.

Taking him as a role model, we serve the mankind as it has become more necessary during this pandemic. Many social organizations have come forward to help the underprivileged, daily wage earners, beggars, rag-pickers and slum dwellers of urban areas , as they are mostly hitted by lockdown and shut down in the year 2020-21.

One of those organization is DIGDARSHAN – an active social organization of Odisha, Jajpur, has made a spectacular impact on the local areas of Jajpur. The members of the organization reached the areas where the communication and transport facilities are very poor and people are kind of isolated from the national mainstream.

DIGDARSHAN – distributed mask, dry food, sanitizers and some daily used necessary stuff and spread awareness among the people.

Being a part of young India, not only the precautionary measures to be taken by us. But also creating awareness among the people is the main job of the educated youths.

Spreading Awareness about Using Mask

Today, with the on-going threat that Covid-19 pandemic poses to public health, wearing protective mask have become a constant part of our everyday lives.

The habit of wearing mask should be inculcated in our daily lives like we don’t forget to wear shoes before going out.

In country like Japan, people always use mask as its their culture, so it was proven during the first wave of covid-19. that rate of transmission is quite lower than countries like India. So it is very much needed to be used in daily events.

Masks do prevent the toxic pollutants available in the air and surrounding environment.

Working in a hazardous workplace; where chemicals, toxics and hazardous materials are present, it is often required to wear mask for safety and protective.

At home, it is recommended wear mask while using toxic cleaners.

Even when a healthy person goes to hospital, he/she should wear the mask as some harmful micro-organisms may enter through the droplets or through nose.

Protective masks are vital to use when there are potential hazards that put health risks.
