WATAALAM wa afya mara nyingi wamekuwa wakisisitiza kuwa, kufanya mazoezi huwa kunasaidia kuzuia magonjwa yasiyoambukiza kama vile saratani, mshtuko wa moyo na kisukari.

Mazoezi pia yanasaidia moyo kuwa na kazi rahisi ya kusukuma damu. Pia mazoezi ni nyenzo muhimu ya kudhibiti uzito wa mwili. Kwani,kwa kufanya mazoezi, mwili hupata kusisimuka kwa hivyo kumaliza mafuta yaliyo ganda kwenye mishipa.

Pia mazoezi husaidia mfumo wa kupumua. Mazoezi rahisi kama vile kutembea, kukimbia na kuogelea husaidia misuli kuwa na nguvu ya kusambaza hewa safi na kutoa hewa chafu. Mshairi wa kisasa, Lwaga Mwambande anasisitiza kuwa, mazoezi ni muhimu kwani, mwili hauna spea. Endelea;
