POPULATION EXPLOSION:THREAT TO THE WORLD

BY DR.RAJ KISHORE PANDA

THE world is currently facing a significant challenge known as population explosion, which poses a threat to global stability. With a current global population of 7.85 billion, China stands at 1.41 billion, India at 1.40 billion, the USA at 0.33 billion, and Russia at 0.15 billion.

However, it is projected that by the year 2025, India will surpass China and become the most populous country in the world.
The rapid growth of the world's population has become a persistent obstacle to global development. It has resulted in numerous critical issues such as increased poverty, illiteracy, environmental pollution, unemployment, land disputes, crimes, the spread of diseases, scarcity of food, drinking water, fuel, electricity, underutilization of manpower, and other unwanted challenges. Interestingly, less populated countries like those in Europe, the USA, UK, Russia, and Australia are more developed than highly populated countries.
Despite the negative consequences, there are still conservative individuals in India who advocate for having more children due to various reasons. However, it is important to recognize that exceeding the necessary population size is detrimental to human society.
Given the gravity of the situation, it is imperative for global political leaders to take action and implement population control measures, such as the adoption of the One Couple One Child policy, before these issues become uncontrollable. This proactive approach is crucial to maintain global peace and stability.

In this critical situation Global Peace Foundation appeals all the global political leaders to discuss about formation of federal supreme Global Government which can efficiently deal with all the critical global issues with its authority.
