Tanzania’s Precision Air confirms list of deceased and survivors

PRECISION Air has confirmed the list of all involved in the plane accident involving flight PW-494 which crashed in Lake Victoria in Bukoba yesterday.
According to a statement released by the airlen a few minutes ago, the aircraft, 5H-PWF, ATR42-500, was flying from Dar es Salaam to Bukoba when the accident occurred at 08:53 local time. There were 39 passengers (38 Adults and 1 Infant) and 4 crew on board the flight.

Precision Air confirms the list as below, the statement said;

The airline also confirmed that among the list there were 02 Kenyans, 01 Chinese, 01 British and 35 Tanzanians.

"Precision Air did provide transport and will be coffering for all the deceased logistics, a total 15 bodies have been dispatched today from Bukoba to various destinations of their origin", the statement said.

It said Precision Air’s Group Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Patrick Mwanri, paid his last respects to the deceased at Kaitaba Stadium in Bukoba. The event was organized by Government of United Republic of Tanzania.

"The Board of Directors, Management and Staff of Precision Air are deeply saddened by the accident, we join Tanzanians in these sad times and send our condolences to families, relatives and friends of all deceased and wish quick recovery to all the survivors. Investigation of the accident is now underway and we will provide updates as soon as we have new information", the statement concluded.
