TANZANIA:CONDOLENCES MESSAGES TO MOROCCO AND SOUTH AFRICA

DAR ES SALAAM (12th September 2023)-The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has sent condolences message to His Majesty King Mohamed VI, following the earthquake that struck the Central part of Morocco causing death, injuries and destruction of properties. The message reads as follows:

I have learnt with profound shock the sad news of the loss of valuable lives and hundreds of others injured, as well as destruction of property and infrastructure caused by strong earthquake that struck the Central part of your beautiful country, Morocco on 9th September 2023.

We join you, the bereaved families, and the people of the Kingdom of Morocco in mourning and grieving for the lives that were cut short. We wish the bereaved families fortitude and strength to endure this heavy loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who sustained injuries and being hospitalized. We wish them speedy recovery.

While expressing our heartfelt condolences, the United Republic of Tanzania stands by you, and with the people of the great Kingdom of Morocco during this difficult moment.

In another development, Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has sent condolences message to His Excellency Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Republic of South Africa, following the demise of Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, the Prince of KwaPhindangene, Traditional Prime Minister to the Zulu Monarch and Nation on 9th September 2023, in South Africa. The message reads as follows

I have learnt with shock the sad news of the death of Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, the Prince of KwaPhindangene, Traditional Prime Minister to the Zulu Monarch and Nation.

On behalf of the Government, people of the United Republic of Tanzania and my own behalf, I wish to convey our heartfelt condolences to you and through you to the Government and people of the Republic of South Africa for the great loss of the iconic leader.

We pray that the Almighty God may grant the family of Prince Buthelezi the strength to bear this heavy loss.
