BoT:New cap set for non-competitive bids in Government Securities

THE Bank of Tanzania, as a fiscal agent of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, wishes to inform the public and investors that the maximum amount for the non-competitive window has been revised from TZS 50,000,000 to TZS 500,000,000 per auction.

This change aims to widen investors’ participation and enhance pricing efficiency in the Government securities auctions.

Investors wishing to utilize the non-competitive window are reminded that the bidding procedure and allotment price remain the same.

Therefore, they should continue to submit bids to the Bank of Tanzania through their Central Depository Participants (CDPs), indicating the auction date, auction number, tenure, and amount.

Additionally, the non-competitive bids will continue to be allotted at the weighted average price (WAP) obtained from the competitive bids of the respective auction.

For further inquiries or clarification, please contact your Central Depository Participant (CDP) or the Bank of Tanzania via the Directorate of Financial Markets (Email; info@bot.go.tz).
