Air Tanzania and Kenya Airways sign landmark partnership

DAR-In a significant move to strengthen aviation cooperation in Africa, Air Tanzania and Kenya Airways have signed a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on capacity building and knowledge sharing.
"Air Tanzania and Kenya Airways have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on the deliberate transfer of skills, exchange of operational knowledge, and the development of sustainable local expertise.

"This is the first MoU to place comprehensive capacity building at its core, covering every key function of airline operations, including engineering and maintenance, commercial services, ground handling, customer service, and crew development.

"By enabling the seamless flow of professional know-how between the two national carriers. The partnership aims to elevate regional standards and strengthen the aviation ecosystem in Africa."

The MoU, the first of its kind to prioritize comprehensive capacity building, aims to transfer skills, exchange operational knowledge, and develop sustainable local expertise between the two national carriers. Key areas of focus include:

■ Engineering and maintenance

■ Commercial services

■ Ground handling

■ Customer service

■ Crew development

By facilitating the exchange of professional expertise, the partnership seeks to elevate regional standards and bolster the aviation ecosystem in Africa.
