BoT injects USD 20 Million into Forex Market to boost liquidity

DAR- The Bank of Tanzania (BoT) has intervened in the Interbank Foreign Exchange Market (IFEM), selling USD 20 million through an auction at a weighted average exchange rate of TZS 2,447.55 per USD.
This move, in line with the Foreign Exchange Intervention Policy 2023, aims to enhance liquidity in the foreign exchange market, supporting economic stability and trade activities in Tanzania.
