DAR-iTRUST Finance Limited has announced to Tanzanians and the wider East African public that its investment fund, the iTrust EAC Large Cap ETF, has achieved outstanding success during its initial offer period.
The initial offering of the fund took place from 17 November to 19 December 2025. The target was to raise TZS 10 billion; however, individuals and institutions applied to invest a total of over TZS 54 billion, representing a 540% subscription rate.
And as of yesterday, 27th January 2026, the fund’s NAV has grown from TZS 1,000 to TZS 1,064.9518 representing a growth of 6.5 percent, in just a week.
This strong performance demonstrates the high level of investor confidence in the fund and in investment opportunities within large East African companies.
Following this overwhelming response, the Capital Markets and Securities Authority (CMSA) approved iTrust Finance Limited’s request to accept 100% of all valid applications, without any reduction to the amounts applied for by investors.
The iTrust EAC Large Cap ETF invests public funds in large, well-established companies listed on East African stock exchanges. Through this fund, investors are able to invest in multiple companies at the same time through a single investment.
Trading of the fund’s units is officially starting today January 28, 2026 on the stock exchange.
