Chinmaya Foundation marks 2,343 days of service with 1-Month flood relief in Odisha and Assam

ODISHA-Taking service to the poor and helpless as a life vow, the International People’s Enhancement Organization for Peace and Harmony, CHINMAYA FOUNDATION, through its Mission Amruta Hastam and Dolphin Dance School & Group program based in Babalpur under Dasharathpur block of Jajpur district, Odisha, has been providing uninterrupted service to people for 2,343 days since March 22, 2020.

In this context, the organization has been providing cooked and dry food, drinking water, clothes, ORS, tarpaulin, dresses, candles, torch lights, matches, and other daily necessities to flood-affected people of Odisha for 31 days, from July 29 to August 29.

Under the supervision of the Founder and International Chairman of the Foundation, Dr. Chinmaya Dash, volunteers have been seen moving across various places in Odisha, rescuing stranded people and distributing relief materials. Dr. Chinmaya Dash has expressed that this special relief system will continue until the financial condition of the affected people improves.

Many volunteers, including Dolphin Dance School & Group Director Master Mihir Kumar, Srikrishna Patra, Henarani Jena, Ankita Mohapatra, Ashish Pradhan, Shreekshetra Sahoo, and others, have cooperated in this initiative.

Under the direction of the Founder-Cum-International Chairman, Dr. Chinmaya Dash, and International Ambassador Smt. Rajshree Senapati Gogoi, the aid program has also been implemented in Assam with the help of many volunteers.

Along with Ambassador Rajshree Senapati Gogoi, Mamoni Sharma, Mitu Goswami, Parth Pratim Gogoi, Pradeep Gogoi, Biplob Das, Abhinit Raj Gogoi, Biplov Dhadumiya Das, Mousumi Kanwar, Mayuri Bua, and others extended relief support to flood victims with the strong backing of many well-wishers.

This relief campaign was actively carried out in Assam from July 19, 2026, to August 18, 2026. For one month, CHINMAYA FOUNDATION organized the relief program for the oppressed people of Sivasagar under the leadership of Ambassador Rajshree Senapati Gogoi.

During a time when essential commodities were scarce and the people of Sivasagar were struggling for food and clothing, CHINMAYA FOUNDATION was on the frontlines in Assam. The rivers Brahmaputra and Dikhou had flooded roads, houses, and villages, contaminating drinking water sources.

Amid painful heartaches and uncertain futures, CHINMAYA FOUNDATION worked to bring hope to the affected citizens of Dikhou Mukh, Betbari, Jayasagar, Hatigili, and Kaktibiri regions of Sivasagar District in Assam during these difficult and tragic times.

The help and support extended by all volunteers is truly appreciated. This sincere effort by CHINMAYA FOUNDATION in Assam is highly commendable in the midst of the darkness of tragedy.
