Negros Occidental-Bureau of Immigration (BI) operatives on August 6 arrested a 34-year-old Chinese national with suspected links to previous POGO operations.
The arrest is in line with the directive of President Ferdinand ‘Bong Bong’ Marcos Jr. to ensure that the country is protected from illegal aliens abusing the hospitality of the country.
Reports from the BI intelligence division showed that the suspect, identified as Xie Yingwen, was arrested Thursday afternoon along Yulo St. in Brgy. 16 in Bacolod City.
Xie was arrested via the strength of a mission order issued by BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado after receiving information form government intelligence sources about the suspect.
In coordination with the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office and the Bacolod City Police Station 1, intelligence agents swooped in and arrested Xie outside a residential area.
