OUT opens applications for 2026/2027 Postgraduate programmes

THE Open University of Tanzania (OUT) has invited qualified applicants to apply for admission into its postgraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic year.

In an announcement by the Directorate of Postgraduate Studies, OUT said it is welcoming applications for postgraduate diplomas, Masters and PhD programmes.

According to OUT, applicants for a Master’s degree must hold a relevant first degree with a minimum GPA of 2.7, or an advanced diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.5 from a recognized institution.

Candidates with unclassified degrees must have a credit or distinction in the subject of the intended Master’s degree.

For PhD applicants, OUT requires a relevant Master’s degree from OUT or another approved institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

“All applications shall be made through the Postgraduate Online Admission (PGOA) system via https://pgoa.out.ac.tz/,” the university stated.

The application fee for the academic year is TZS 30,000 or 30 USD for international applicants. Payments should be made using an online generated control number.

OUT said it will release successful applicants in three cycles per year in October, February, and June.
