THE study on “Environmental Issues In India” would serve a 05 credit Core Course in human life. The human life course would be useful as a multidisciplinary subject for all sorts of human beings of social-economics life.

The “Environmental Issues in India " studies provides an overview of comprehension and significance of the environment and its importance across all the civilizations in India.

The environment as an issue is omnipresent in the world we live in. There has been a consequent explosion of work that reflects on the reasons for and responses to ecological dilemmas. The last decade and a half in particular have seen a quickening of the pace of research and scholarship among both social and natural lives as well as among policy makers and activists.

Environmental issues gained in importance when two different trends intersected each other. One was the capacity of humans to transform in a relatively short span of time, their natural surroundings, with consequences that could be adverse for them and there was a second critical change: it was precisely their concern about the environment that made such responses possible at all.

It has been found that the colonial period was the clear-cut turning point of the forest landscape in terms of environmental changes of the country. Environmental issues are one of the primary causes of disease, health issues and long-term livelihood impact for India.

India has made some of the fastest progress in addressing its environmental issues and improving the environmental quality however India has a long way to go to reach the environmental quality as enjoyed by the developed nations.

Pollution remains a major challenge and opportunity for India. The course will also provide the detailed insights about the environmental movements from post colonial to post independence across the country.

The course will also give detailed account on the various environmental issues in India and other environmental concerns in the globalizing world.

Before going to discuss we have to know the important stages of environmental problem solutions i.e. identify the problem, structure the problem, searching for solutions, make a decision the important the solution its relation with environment.

It is important for us to know the main environmental issues of the world or specially India. The problems are i.e. air pollution, poor management of waste, growing water scarcity, falling groundwater tables, preservation and quality of forest, biodiversity loss, soil degradation are the biggest problems of the world to threaten its development.

Pollution;-These includes all shorts of pollution, over population, waste disposal, climate change, global warming, the green house effect etc are various environmental issues.

Biodiverersity;-It boosts ecosystem, productivity, where each species, no matter how small, all have an important role to play. Disturbance to biodiversity would not only hurt the environment but also human wellbeing. Now days We risk food and energy security.

Deforestation;- It is the depletion of trees and forests at an alarming rate. The trees provide us with oxygen and several raw matterials. So the deforestation and pollution are direct consequences of overpopulation and both in turn affect biodiversity.

It affects the wind flows, water vapour flows and absorption of solar enegy, Thus significantly influencing local and global climate Climate variability and change-Rapid global warming can affect an ecosystems changes to adopt naturally.

So variability may result from natural internal process within the climate system or from variations in the natural or anthropogenic external forces. Climate changes refers to any change in climate over time, whether due to natural variability or anthropogenic forces

The solutions to the Environmental Issues In India is to use reusable products instead of disposable ones. Recycle the waste to conserve the natural resources.

Support local and environment friendly practices.
