DUBLIN, Saturday, October 14, 2023 (WAFA)-Thousands of demonstrators took to the streets today in the Irish capital, Dublin, in protest of the brutal Israeli aggression on Gaza and to express their solidarity with the Palestinian people.
The protest saw a diverse coalition of participants, including members of the Palestinian community, Arab and Islamic communities, the Irish Palestine Solidarity Campaign, labor unions, representatives of leftist parties, and hundreds of individuals who stood in solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

The demonstrators called for an immediate halt to Israeli atrocities and the ongoing genocide against innocent Palestinian civilian population in Gaza and the West Bank, emphasizing the urgent need to establish humanitarian corridors for the swift delivery of food, water, and medicine to embattled Gaza.
The protesters also called on Western MPs to exert pressure to bring justice, freedom, and security to the Palestinian people.

Speakers at the rally included People Before Profit MP Richard Boyd Barrett, who called for the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador; trade unionist Mags O’Brien; and Sinn Féin councillor Daithí Doolan.
MP Barrett, who addressed the rally, appealed to the global community to press Israel to cease its aggression on Gaza, as it represents a crime against humanity. He emphasized that the Israeli narrative is deceptive and misleading, with Western media often appearing complicit in an attempt to justify the killing of innocent Palestinian civilians.
Other Palestine solidarity rallies also took place today in the cities of Ennis, Cork, Carlow, Limerick and Galway.
