DAR-A Turkish businessman, Alptekin Aksoy, was tragically killed in an armed attack in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Aksoy, a prominent figure in the country's generator trade and construction industry, was shot at close range by masked motorcyclists in front of his workplace.
According to eyewitness accounts and security footage, the attackers acted professionally, suggesting they had planned the attack meticulously.
The incident occurred just hours before a crucial court hearing related to an inheritance dispute, in which Aksoy was likely to emerge victorious.
Aksoy's family and associates believe the attack may be linked to the inheritance dispute, which arose after the passing of his father-in-law, a prominent Tanzanian businessman.
Aksoy had been married to his daughter and had been involved in large-scale construction projects in Tanzania.
Tanzanian police have launched a full-scale investigation to capture the perpetrators of the attack.
Dar es Salaam Special Regional Police, Commander Jumanne Muliro assured that everyone involved in the murder of 52-year-old Alptekin Aksoy, a Turkish and Tanzanian citizen, will be brought to justice, no matter what.
