THE Bank of Tanzania (BoT) has issued a banking license to Radiance Microfinance Bank Limited,allowing it to operate as a microfinance bank in the country.

According to a public notice released on 22nd May 2026, the license became effective on 4th May 2026.
The new institution is authorized to conduct banking business under the microfinance bank category.
Radiance Microfinance Bank Limited will be headquartered at Plot No. 16/1, Elia Complex, located at the junction of Zanaki Road and Bibi Titi Street in Dar es Salaam.
The notice was signed by Sauda K. Msemo, Deputy Governor for Financial Stability and Deepening.
The Bank of Tanzania stated that the licensing is part of its mandate to regulate and supervise financial institutions in the country.
The Bank of Tanzania is marking its 60th anniversary this year, having been established in 1966.
