The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) will bring a delegation of power sector decision makers from Angola, Botswana, Mozambique, and Zambia to the United States to build partnerships in support of securing and modernizing Southern Africa’s energy transmission and distribution systems.
While in the United States from August 29 to September 5, the delegation of around 15 government and private sector representatives will travel to Denver, Colorado, and Austin, Texas.

There, they will meet U.S. companies and see demonstrations of cutting-edge U.S. technologies that can improve transmission and distribution networks, as well as integrate AI-enabled grid control systems. Delegates will also meet with a mix of publicly and privately owned utilities and regulatory bodies, including the Colorado Public Utilities Commission and Electric Reliability Council of Texas.

USTDA will host a public business briefing in Denver on September 1, where U.S. companies can hear directly from the delegation about upcoming commercial prospects and engage one-on-one with delegates to showcase their grid security solutions.
