The construction of Uganda’s new Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs (MoDVA) and Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) headquarters has reached 87% completion, with the landmark complex on course for commissioning in December.
Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba on Monday commended the UPDF Engineering Brigade for maintaining the pace of construction during a site visit to the project at Mbuya.
Kainerugaba praised the engineers and construction personnel for their “commitment to delivering the facility within time” and assured them that their efforts “would be recognised once the project is completed and handed over.”
