'Quality of justice including digital transformations of the judiciary'

RIYADH-As part of the International Conference on Justice, which kicked off in Riyadh on Sunday, a session titled “International Experiences in the Digital Transformation in the Justice Sector”, was organized.

Eng. Majed Al-Humaid, assistant deputy minister for development and deputy head of vision realization office at the Ministry of Justice; Vadim Fedorov, deputy minister of justice of the Russian Federation, and Azer Jafarov, deputy minister of justice of Azerbaijan participated.

Eng. Al-Humaid presented a briefing about the progress the Kingdom has achieved in digital transformation, indicating that it has become a major pillar in the judicial services to individuals, companies, and public institutions.

He also explained that the Ministry provides more than 140 electronic services, with beneficiaries making more than 180,000 visits to the e-service system on daily basis.

Al-Humaid added that more than 95% of court sessions are held virtually now with all the services, transactions, and proceedings of the government institutions carried out and executed through the Ministry’s Najiz platform.

The Najiz platform, he said, had achieved more than 47 million visits in 2022, more than 1,9 million court sessions and more than 700,000 judicial rulings, among other services.

Participants in the session shared their countries’ digital transformation endeavors and the progress they achieved in the transformation to digital criminal proceedings.(SPA)
