THE fight to completely eradicate the epidemic continues with the use of masks in various offices at the government level.
Bringing awareness to the need to fight for the complete destruction of the epidemic corona from all over the world, the Corona awareness, covid kit and relief distribution program has been carried out by Chinmaya Foundation, a leading international people's enhancement organization for peace and harmony at Babalpur of Dasarathpur Block of Jajpur district of Odisha state for a long period of 1150 days and in various parts of the state, Country and abroad.
It were seen that in foundation's day number 1149 & 1150 ,the volunteers are distributing Mask, Soap, Sanitizer, Hand Gloves, Bleaching, ORS, Insta Vegetable Wash, Detel, Phenyl, Garments, Grocery items, Dry and Cooked Foods, Fruits etc. to the poor, needy & destitute peoples.
While programs are reviewed every 25 days, the 46th review meeting has been held at the premises of Dolphin Dance School and Group in Mangalpur of Jajpur district.
Journalist Dhirendra Mallik, Swati Rekha Samal, Rinarani Jena, Sanjay Dash, artist Shashikant Panda and others are participated in the said review meeting organized under the coordination of program coordinator Master Mihir Kumar.
The international chairman of the foundation, Mr.Chinmaya Dash, presided over the review meeting and said, "The number of infections in Odisha has dropped to 300 in the last few days.
The number of recoveries has doubled in 24 hours. According to the information received from the health department, 6,899 samples have been collected in one day in the last two weeks.
Out of which 226 new infections were detected and 428 recovered from corona.The number of infected was 4048 last week.In Globally, over 2.7 million new cases and over 17 000 deaths were reported in the last 28 days (10 April to 7 May 2023), a decrease of 14% and 17%, respectively, compared to the previous 28 days (13 March to 9 April 2023).
The picture is mixed at the regional level, with increases in reported cases seen in the South-East Asia and Western Pacific regions and decreases in other regions.
As of 7 May 2023, over 765 million confirmed cases and over 6.9 million deaths have been reported globally." So Mr. Dash opined that till now Corona is under complete control and awareness is needed for a few more days to eradicate it completely.
