Laurindo Dilson named February Player of the Month as Steve Barker wins Coach of the Month in Tanzania Premier League

LAURINDO Dilson (Depu), striker for Young Africans SC, has been named the February Player of the Month in the 2025/26 Tanzania Premier League (TPL), while Steve Barker of Simba SC was awarded Coach of the Month for the same period.

The announcement was made on March 16, 2026, by the Communications Department of the Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB).

Dilson impressed throughout February, scoring two goals in as many matches, helping Young Africans maintain their lead at the top of the league standings. 

He outperformed finalists Rushine De Reuck and Idd Selemani ‘Nado’, who were also shortlisted for the monthly award by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF).

Meanwhile, Steve Barker guided Simba SC to two victories and a draw, lifting the team from sixth to third place in the league table. He beat fellow finalists Pedro Goncalves and Florent Ibenge to claim the Coach of the Month title.

In other awards, Said Mpuche was recognized as Stadium Manager of the Month for February, praised for his efficient management of sporting events and stadium infrastructure.

In the Tanzania NBC Championship, Ramadhan Karanje was named Player of the Month after scoring four goals in five matches (404 minutes), while Mbwana Makata received the Coach of the Month award, having led his team to four wins and one draw, moving them from sixth to fifth in the standings.
